Your hotel room will be available on the day of arrival by 15:00. Should you arrive earlier, please let us know. We will then endeavor to make the room available at an earlier time.

We kindly ask you to vacate your room by 11:00 am on the day of departure. If you wish a later departure, please contact the reception.

USB ports are available in all rooms. If you need a special adapter the reception will be happy to find a solution.

For allergy sufferers we have special pillows and bed linen. See “Pillow menu”.

There is a lot to see and do around the Dakota. At the reception you will find some ideas for (almost) every taste.

Do you need a babysitter? Please contact the reception, we will be happy to arrange a suitable person for you.

Cosy bathrobes and slippers are provided free of charge for the duration of your stay (superior room category).

Raiffeisenbank (with ATM) is located just a few meters opposite the hotel.

Would like to go on a fancy mountain tour? We are happy to book a mountain guide for you for individual mountain experiences. So that we can prepare everything well, please contact our reception crew at least one day in advance.

We will be happy to organize a bouquet of flowers for your loved one. Please let us know your wishes one day in advance.

Smoking is prohibited in the entire hotel.

Our rooms as well as all public areas of our hotel are equipped with smoke detectors.

Rules of conduct in case of fire, as well as escape plans can be found in your room. The emergency exits are marked with “EXIT” in the corridors.

In the event of a fire alarm, do not use the elevators under any circumstances.

Our guests can use the Fitness Wellness Center Meiringen at Schulhausgasse 1. Please contact reception for more information.

WoMen Hairstyle (+41 (0) 33 971 61 61) is located at Kirchgasse 16, about 150m from the hotel. We will be happy to assist you with booking an appointment.

Do you need to print documents, information or tickets? Please contact the reception directly.

Recharge your battery – what applies to our guests, of course also applies to their electric cars. So if you arrive electrically with us, simply connect your car to a charging station in front of the hotel (subject to charge).

You want to explore the Haslital and the surrounding area on an e-bike? Our partner HasliBike will help you there in every way. The e-bike will be delivered directly to the hotel.

All rooms are equipped with a TV/radio set.

Our breakfast buffet is open for you from 07:00 to 10:30. Early risers or late risers please contact the reception. For groups possible from 06.30 on request.

You are welcomed to leave your luggage in our luggage room on the day of arrival or departure.

If you would like to have your luggage transported to or from the train station, simply contact reception in good time and we organise this for you with a local taxi company (subject to a charge). This also applies to the transport of bikes and racing bikes as well as skis and winter equipment.

Hair dryers are ready for you in every room.

The indoor swimming pool and the outdoor pool are only a few minutes walk from the hotel. With the guest card you have free admission to the indoor pool and benefit from a 50% discount in the outdoor pool.

Are you looking for an adventure on two wheels? HasliBike is the place to go in the Haslital. Whether you are looking for tour information, maps or rental bikes, you will find everything at www.haslibike.ch.

Dogs are welcome in our hotel. Except in the breakfast room, dogs are not allowed. Please register your “furry friend” when making your reservation. Per dog/night we charge a fee of CHF 15.

Have you forgotten your toothbrush or something similar? We will be happy to help you out with hygiene items at the reception.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and public areas. You will find the access data in the room card sleeve or directly at the reception.

You have the possibility to order an additional or a synthetic pillow at the housekeeping or the reception. We have the following pillows available for you:

Near the Alpbach, at the mountain railroad valley station is a beautiful playground with its own small waterfall. Surely a great experience for the little ones.

We have charging cables available at our reception for various smartphones. You are welcome to return your device to us.

In the Hasliberg or in Gadmen in the direction of Sustenpass you will find some beautiful cross-country skiing trails. If we can help with tour planning or equipment rental, please let us know.

For an extended hike or a nice bike tour, we will be happy to put together a packed lunch for you. Whether it is just a small snack or a multi-course meal, we will be happy to put together a suitable package for you, including wine accompaniment. Please order it in time the day before.

We will be happy to fill the mini fridge with your favourite drinks or snacks prior to your arrival. Just let us know. Please make a note on the minibar cards of your withdrawals.

Sewing utensils are available at the reception. On request, we are also very happy to offer you a sewing service.

A small number of parking spaces are available for you in our underground car park for a fee of CHF 10 per day (24 hours). The parking spaces around the hotel are also available for a fee.

The post office in Meiringen is located at Bahnhofstrasse 2, a few minutes walk from the hotel. However, we are also happy to accept your mail for dispatch.

The reception is open from 07.00 to 20.00 and can be reached by telephone on the short code 411.

Hotel Dakota is a hotel Garni. In the neighborhood of the hotel you will find a number of gastronomic offers for almost every taste. The reception will gladly reserve a table for you

We are happy to organise a shuttle service/limousine service for you with local taxi companies (subject to a charge).

The valley station of the Meiringen-Hasliberg cable cars is only a few minutes walk from the hotel.

From mid-December to March you can also take the “Ski Bus” and ride from the train station (5 minutes walk from the Hotel), to the mountain cable car station. From where you can comfortably ride directly up to the Hasliberg Reuti station and onward with another cable car to Bidmi, Mägisalp and up to the Alpen tower.

If you need assistance with planning, equipment rental or buying day and multi-day tickets, let us know. We will be happy to help you.

In the basement is our ski and bike room. You can deposit your equipment including boots and wet clothes there. We ask you not to enter the hotel with your ski boots.

Would you like to learn or refresh your skiing skills? Would you like to send your children to the ski school? Please contact reception directly for all information.

The telephones in your room are for internal communication only. If you wish to reach the reception, please dial 411. To speak to another room, please dial their room number.

You get the Tourist Card of Haslital Tourism at the reception when you check in. With this card you will receive discounts at various attractions in the region (e.g. 50% discount on admission to the Sherlock Holmes Museum, the Aare Gorge, the open-air swimming pool, free admission to the indoor swimming pool, 50% discount on the purchase of Meiringen Meringue, etc.).

The office of Haslital Tourism is located at Bahnhofplatz 12, directly in the station building.

The Haslital invites you to wonderful hikes. Discover the gorges in the valleys or hike up to the peaks and glaciers. We would be happy to put together the right lunch package for your tour. We are also happy to advise you on the equipment.

You can have your private small laundry washed in the hotel. Please use the clothes bag in your room for this purpose. If you hand in your laundry by 09.00 a.m., you will usually receive it back by the evening.

Reinigungs- und Bügelwäsche, welche Sie bis 09.00 Uhr abgeben, erhalten Sie am nächsten Tag zurück.

Upon request, we will change your towels daily. Simply place the used linen on the floor. If you prefer fresh bed linen or extra towels, please let the reception or housekeeping staff know.

If needed, please order a wake-up call by calling 411.

Our rooms are ready for occupancy from 15.00 on the day of arrival.

We kindly ask you to vacate your room by 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure. If you would like to leave your room later, please notify the reception already the evening before, we will try to fulfill your wish.

Additional pillows or blankets can be ordered at the reception upon request.
